Overview: Rolfing is a physically applied practice with the aim of maximising individual wellbeing of mind and body.
How it works: Rolfing works to educate people away from physical patterns of movement that are negative and out of line with gravity. Optimising individual alignment allows the client a greater capacity to function to the best of their ability.
What to expect: The therapist will observe your posture and the way that you walk. The session will start with around an hour of a gentle laying on of hands, this should be very relaxing. Usually around ten sessions are required with each of the first seven being devoted to a different area of the body.
Known Contraindications: Rolfing is contraindicated for those people who have disabling conditions.
