Overview: The Alexander Technique is a practical method for changing the way we ‘use’ ourselves by developing greater conscious control of our movement and poise.

How it works: The Alexander Technique is based on the principle that we function as a whole.  In order to effect change we must learn to consciously prevent harmful habits.  These are usually unconscious habits as we repeat them regularly in everyday life.  Therefore becoming aware of what it is we are actually doing needs to become part of the learning process.

What to expect: The Alexander technique teaches you to refine and make use of an improved relationship between the head, neck and back.  This enables you to be more relaxed and alert.  This will make you feel calmer, enable you to cope with stress better and recover from injury more quickly.
